Aakash Chopra highlights the only drawback in Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy against Australia

India defeated Australia by 6 runs in the fifth T20I to take the series by a margin of 4-1. The home team was led by Suryakumar Yadav and he impressed everyone with his skills.

However, former India player Aakash Chopra highlighted one drawback in Suryakumar’s leadership.

Chasing 161 runs to make it 2-3, the visiting team was restricted to 154/8 in 20 overs. Mukesh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi bowled superbly.

While Mukesh took 3 wickets, the remaining two added two scalps each, respectively. Defending 10 runs off 6 balls, Arshdeep conceded just 3 runs.

“Suryakumar Yadav is not winning the toss, which is a big drawback. You can ask Rohit Sharma about the importance of the toss. He couldn’t win it on November 19 and everybody knows what happened in the end. It is very important to win a toss,” he said.

Shreyas Iyer’s fifty played a key role in India’s total of 160 runs in 20 overs.
