Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League 2025. “We will bowl first as the wicket has been under cover and the conditions are overcast. It is a fresh day and the boys have recovered well from the defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. We want to win this game. Boys are looking forward to the contest,” Shreyas Iyer said.
Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya would have bowled first as well. “We would have bowled first. There is a need to bat properly as the wicket has gone flatter from the time I used to play over here. However, if you bowl well, fast bowlers will get help. If the batters bat well, they will enjoy batting over here. The boys are relaxed,” Hardik Pandya said.
