Seales’ outstanding performance earned him a new record for the best bowling figures against Pakistan in an ODI, surpassing Dale Steyn’s 6/39 set in 2013. He also became the first bowler from the West Indies to claim a six-wicket haul against Pakistan in the ODI format.
The 23-year-old was named Player of the Series for his 10-wicket haul. Pakistan endured their heaviest defeat by runs in an ODI against the West Indies. It also marked the West Indies’ first home series win over Pakistan since 1988 and their first ODI series triumph against them since 1991.
This loss ranks as Pakistan’s fourth-heaviest defeat by runs in ODI history. Their biggest defeat came in 2009, when Sri Lanka triumphed by 234 runs in Lahore.
