Toyota has introduced yet another concept for the 2024 SEMA Show, this time based on the RAV4. The Toyota RAV-X is inspired by off-road rally cars, featuring beefed-up suspension, grippy tires, and a redesigned bodykit. More importantly, the concept explores the possibility of a rugged model that could crown the next-gen RAV4 lineup.

The concept that looks ready to tackle the Dakar Rally, was developed by the Toyota Service Parts and Accessories Development (SPAD).

The US-based team, which is focused on accessories and performance upgrades, wanted to create a vehicle that combines “agile off-road capability and high-speed performance”. The resulting build envisions a “halo vehicle concept for the RAV4 lineup” designed for off-road enthusiasts. This description sounds fitting for a GR-branded version of the RAV4 with Dakar references, although Toyota has yet to confirm that this will actually happen.

RAV4 is one of our most popular and versatile vehicles; with RAV-X we’re showing an entirely new possibility of just how cool and adventurous a small crossover like this can be.”
The RAV-X is one of several Toyota vehicles on display at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, including the Land Cruiser Rox pickup, also hinting at a future production offering.
