India captain Rohit Sharma refused to criticize Virat Kohli after the star batter failed in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He scored 9 runs off 9 balls before gifting his wicket to England.
The veteran looked clueless from the start of his innings before his painful stay was ended by Reece Topley.
In 7 matches, Kohli has scored 75 runs at an average of less than 11 and a strike-rate of 100. Virat has registered two ducks as well and he has been the worst performer for the sub-continent team.
The 35-year-old was given a new responsibility to play as an opener in the global tournament but he hasn’t played any impressive knock.
“Virat Kohli’s form is not a concern as he is playing cricket for 15 years. He is a champion cricketer. The intent is there and I feel he is saving his best for the final,” Rohit Sharma said on Star Sports.
