Aakash Chopra has made a bold prediction about one of the best young talents in India. He feels Yashasvi Jaiswal will score more than 600 runs for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2024. Chopra is backing Jaiswal to fully use his impressive form in the ongoing five-match Test series against England.
The southpaw has hit 655 runs with the help of two double-hundreds against the Ben Stokes-led team.
He has batted aggressively against England’s bowling attack with regular fours and sixes.
“Rajasthan Royals have an amazing partnership in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. They are the number one opening pair in the tournament. I think Jaiswal will score motre than 600 runs in IPL 2024,” Chopra said.
The young batter had accumulated 625 runs in 14 matches in the previous season of the cash-rich league.
“When you enters into tournament with such confidence, you are backed to score runs against all teams. He will bat with more maturity this year,” Chopra added.
Chopra further highlighted Jos Buttler’s good form in SA20. “Along with Jos Buttler, who did well in SA20, Jaiswal will be very dangerous for other teams.”
Jaiswal has another chance of adding more runs to his tally as India will take on England in the fifth and final Test that starts on March 7.
