Basit Ali has given an important suggestion to Pakistan’s star batter, Babar Azam, amid his performance in international cricket. He urged the white-ball captain of Pakistan to get married.
The former batter feels that Babar will become a different person after he ties the knot. Ali further mentioned that marriage will also help Babar to return to scoring ways in international cricket.
“It is high time that he talks to his parents about marriage. He will be a different batter after that. I know how failures can impact a player. I request Babar’s parents to get him married. Like his elder brother, I want to see him getting married. Get married, Babar Azam; you are old enough now,” he said.
Babar scored just 64 runs across four innings against Bangladesh. Pakistan lost the Test series by 0-2, their first defeat against the sub-continent rivals.
The 29-year-old hasn’t hit a fifty in his last 16 innings in Test format.

Bangladesh registered a memorable Test series win over Pakistan. Basit said that Pakistan have hit rock bottom, and the team will now go upwards.
“Test series defeat against Bangladesh was a wake-up call. Things can’t get worse for the team. It is time to rise again. If you don’t improve your performance, play the Test series only against Nepal and Afghanistan. I believe the recent defeats will benefit the players.”
Pakistan will play a three-Test series against England from October 7.
