Digvesh Rathi was named the Player of the Match for taking a wicket and conceding just 21 runs from his overs in the Lucknow Super Giants win over Mumbai Indians. Chasing 204 runs, the five-time champions managed 191 in 20 overs. The 12-run defeat is concerning for Hardik Pandya’s unit as they have suffered three losses from four matches in the IPL 2025. Naman Dhir was blazing all guns and was taking the game away from the hosts.
However, Digvesh ended his innings to put LSG in the driving seat. Naman scored 46 runs off 24 balls, with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. The young spinner spoke to Ian Bishop in the post-match presentation ceremony.
“I enjoyed my performance against Mumbai Indias. I wanted to take wickets instead of getting defensive,” he said.
He also spoke about his idol, Sunil Narine, who is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 18th season of the tournament. “I started liking bowling because of Sunil Narine.
“I love bowling with an attacking mindset. I want to remain calm like Narine in pressure situations. Naman Dhir was batting well and decided to attack the stumps in front of him,” he added.
