The United States of America defeated Pakistan in Super Over in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Mohammad Amir was off colour in the Super Over and conceded 17 runs.
Chasing 18 runs in 6 balls, the Men in Green managed 13 runs, falling short by 5 runs. Saurabh Netravalkar didn’t allow the Pakistan batters to complete a win.
Earlier, the States and the sub-continent team scored 159 runs each in 20 overs. The co-hosts were heading towards a comfortable win but lost the plot in the death overs. Nitish Kumar hit a four on the last ball of the innings to take the contest to a Super Over.
