Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra gave his take on India playing against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. The mega game is scheduled on September 14, but the fans in India are not in favour of the contest after the terror attack in Pahalgam resulted in the death of 26 tourists.

The India Champions refused to play against the Pakistan Champions twice in the World Championship of Legends (WCL). Mishra mentioned that whatever decision is taken will be in the interest of the country.

“Our countrymen are connected with us when we play cricket because of the emotions. The India Legends refused to play against Pakistan. Then Pakistan made it to the final but lost the match. Every cricketer has a deep connection with their country. They are connected to their fans. Just like everyone loves their country, we also love our country. Whatever decision is taken, it will be in the interest of the country,” Mishra told ANI.

India also refused to play the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, and their matches were organised in Dubai. The Men in Blue won the title, beating New Zealand in the final.
