Rajasthan Royals batters had no answer to the brilliance of Mumbai Indians bowlers while chasing 218. The hosts were bowled out for 117 runs in 16 overs. With a 100-run win over the 2008 champions, MI reached the No.1 spot in the points table. Mumbai have won 7 out of 11 games so far and is most likely to make it to the playoffs. Rajasthan have been eliminated from the playoff race.

Jasprit Bumrah was unplayable and took 2 wickets. The veteran conceded just 15 runs from his 4 overs. Trent Boult leaked runs, but he managed to dismiss three batters. Karn Sharma got rid of three batters.
