“Not the best playing XI”: Sanjay Bangar raises red flag for CSK after defeat against RCB

Former India player Sanjay Bangar has highlighted the mistakes Chennai Super Kings are committing while picking their playing XI in the Indian Premier League. The middle order hasn’t fired in the first two matches against MI and RCB. The five-time champions won the opening game against Suryakumar Yadav’s team, but Bengaluru exposed them at Chepauk.

The 50-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru has put the team under pressure ahead of their next contest against Rajasthan Royals. Bangar feels CSK need to change their playing XI at the earliest to avoid ordinary performances.

“Not the best playing XI and they will have to change it at the earliest,” he said.

“CSK doesn’t Sam Curran’s batting, and Mukesh Chaudhary is there in the team, and he bowls like an English all-rounder. Devon Conway can be included in the Playing XI and he can bat at the No.4 slot to push back captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to the opening slot,” he added.

Chennai has opened with Rahul Tripathi and Rachin Ravindra, a move that has back-fired considering the failure of the former. Rahul hasn’t been able to play the short ball properly, with pacers delivering bouncers against him. There is a possiblity of him getting dropped from the upcoming game.
