“Rohit and Gambhir made a mistake, but they will not accept it: Jadeja calls out team management for their blunder in the second Test vs Bangladesh

India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma are facing flak for choosing to bat first after winning the toss in the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

Rohit wanted to take advantage of the softness in the pitch, but the ball didn’t do much for the Indian bowlers. Rohit had to bowl spinners early in the game to take wickets. Akash Deep was the most successful bowler, taking two Bangladesh wickets.

“The conditions are suitable for batting despite Bangladesh losing two wickets. The best thing would have been to bat first after winning the toss, but India missed the trick.

“They (Rohit and Gautam Gambhir) made a mistake, but they will not accept it. Look at the field placements. The captain also knows that he read the pitch and conditions wrong,” Ajay Jadeja said on JioCinema.

Aakash Chopra, RP Singh and Parthiv Patel also called out the decision-makers for not batting first against the visiting team.

India are leading the two-Test series after winning the opening game by 280 runs.
