Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League 2025. “We are bowling first. The wicket looks hard and bowling first will help. We want to maximize every opportunity. Every player gave more than 100 percent in the last game. Virat Kohli, Phil Salt and Jitesh Sharma batted well in the last match,” Rajat Patidar said.
Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer would have bowled first as well. “We would have bowled first as well. However, it is handy to bat first as well. Teams batting first have won matches over here. The atmosphere is electrifying and the players are passionate. Our players are fearless and the attitude has been been top notch. It is important to live in present and stop thinking about the past and future,” Shreyas Iyer said.
