With the victory, RCB maintained their chances of making it to the playoffs in the Indian Premier League 2024. The players of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru were estatic after dismissing DC for just 140 runs while defending 188. The cameras were panned at Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli as the team celebrated their victory.
Following the team’s victory, the famous couple appeared incredibly relieved as RCB pulled off an incredible comeback in IPL 2024. “I told you so, we would turn this ship around,” Virat Kohli gestured to someone on the ground. Cameron Green’s all-round effort proved to be vital in the Bengaluru-side’s victory. Furthermore, Green was outstanding in the field as well.
RCB defeated DC by 47 runs on Sunday to extend their winning run and maintain their playoff dreams. After the victory, RCB shot up to fifth place on the points table, something that had looked unreal given their prior struggles in the competition. After a fifty from Rajat Patidar and a solid bowling by the RCB bowlers, the hosts won in a dominating fashion.
RCB will host CSK in their final league match on May 18. If RCB wins by a margin of 18 runs or more, their net run rate (NRR) will be higher than CSK’s, which will help them earn a spot in the playoffs.
