The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2020. He was the first one to get invitation and is likely to be a part of the pran pratishtha ceremony along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) head Mohan Bhagwat.

The invitations are on its way to several dignitaries. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra is taking care of everything.

According to the report in the Print, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani and some scribes will be invited. Around 6,000 priests and saints are likely to grace the holy occasions.

Kohli is on a break from cricket and will miss the white-ball matches in South Africa. He will return to the Playing XI in the two-match Test series against the Proteas.

Kohli scored 765 runs in the 2023 edition of the global tournament, the highest in a single edition of the ODI World Cup. Although India lost the final against Australia by 6 wickets, Kohli was named the Player of the Tournament for his sensational batting display.
