Mumbai Indians celebrated Holi on March 25. The entire squad had fun, with former captain Rohit Sharma showing his playful side.
Hardik Pandya, who has received criticism since the 6-run defeat against Gujarat Titans, met Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, and hugged her. He even spoke to Rohit and Ritika’s daughter, Samaira.
Hardik struggled to deal with Rohit in his first game as captain. Rohit scolded him while the latter went to hug time and even highlighted the mistakes made during the shocking loss. Rohit was furious about how the middle order responded after his partnership with Dewald Brevi.
Hardik also left the conversation with Jasprit Bumrah after Rohit Sharma joined them. Many incidents show that everything is not going well within the MI camp since Rohit was sacked from captaincy and Hardik was traded back from GT.
Pandya also made several mistakes as a skipper of Mumbai. He didn’t promote himself in the batting order and kept waiting in the dugout until the situation became terrible for his franchise. The players with less experience couldn’t handle the pressure, and when Hardik came to bat, the pressure got the better of him, and he couldn’t close the game in his team’s favor.
Though he hit a six and four in the last over of the innings, the need to go after every delivery scripted his downfall.
