Virat Kohli has taken up the role of an aggressor for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League 2024. He is playing shots from the start of the innings, and he’s not slowing down. The veteran looked at ease against Chennai Super Kings in the season’s opening game and then played a match-winning knock against Punjab Kings.
In the third game of the 17th season against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he hit an unbelievable six on the ball of Mitchell Srarc. The most expensive cricketer in the history of the tournament net bowled on the middle of the stump, and Virat flicked it into the stands. He used the pace of the fast bowler and completed the stroke efficiently.
Kohli returned to cricket after a long break and played the first contest against CSK. He scored 21 off 20 balls and looked rusty at times. But the former RCB captain returned his best in the encounter with PBKS.
He completed 100 half-centuries in T20 cricket, becoming the third batter after Chris Gayela dnd David Warner to reach the milestone. After the game against Punjab, he said that winning the IPL trophy is his main goal and not the stats.
